Cooking

I'm bringing to a boil 3 cups of water

on medium heat

I'm adding half a teaspoon  of salt

I'm adding the pasta to the boiling water and I'm going to give it a quick stir

I'm going to allow them to cook on medium heat until they are semi-soft but not mushy

While my pasta is cooking, finely chop half of the onion

Do the same with the green onions

Move on to the crab meat

Finely chop the crab meat

if you've ever made crab pasta salad

or used imitation crab meat and in what dish

Once you are through cutting the crab, check on the pasta

There are two ways to check your pasta to see if it's done you can either pinch it or use a knife to cut one of them

Once the pasta is ready, drain it, then run some cold  water over it

Let it sit for a few minutes to drain the excess water

Next, place the drained pasta into a large bowl

Add the chopped crab meat to the drained pasta

Add the chopped half onion

Add the chopped green onions

Time for the dry seasonings.

Cover the pasta with some of that Old Bay seasoning

Lightly sprinkle some garlic powder to your taste

Lightly sprinkle some seasoned salt

Mix all the ingredients together

Add 3 tbsps of my vegan mayo and I'm

spread it evenly throughout the pasta

Add an additional 2 tbsps of the vegan mayo

you don't want my pasta salad to be dry

After taste-testing it, it was missing something so

I added a little bit more of the Old Bay seasoning

as well as about 1 /3 teaspoon of the garlic powder

Always make sure to taste test your food

Mix in some cajun seasoning to spice it

up a bit

You can add the cajun seasoning to your taste

if you can't handle spicy food, you can skip this step

Add 2 additional tablespoons of vegan mayo for a total of seven tablespoons

You can also use a mayo of your choice

as I mentioned before the pasta salad has  to be moist

Let me know in the comments  if you've ever used homemade vegan mayo

This is totally optional sprinkle

Mix about 1 tsp of lemon pepper seasoning

Place it in the refrigerator before serving it

Remove the Crab Pasta Salad from the refrigerator and chill for about an hour
